DIRECT enables its users to complete detailed network transmission designs for 2G - 3.5G networks. It also plans Core ISW and SS7 Signalling networks over multiple technology infrastructures including ATM,IP,SDH,PDH, MW,LL and DWDM.

It has been designed to enable all network planning departments to use the same database in order to provide end to end routing and QoS measurements in a planning environment prior to actual implementation.
